Abstract：
At the pion energies of 120, 150, 180, 220, and 260 MeV, the calculation of the cross section of the elastic π^--¹²C scattering are performed within Glauber theory on the basis of the independent α-particle model. The theoretical results are in agreement with experiments. In the lower energy region sensitive to the wave function, our results are better than the results obtained by others using α-particle model.
