Abstract: PSD yield is a key criterion to evaluate the vacuum chamber material and its surface pretreatment in an electron storage ring. In this paper, a stainless steel vacuum chamber of 1500 mm in diameter has been tested before and after TiN film coating on PSD experiment station of Machine Study Beamline of NSRL. Test results show that TiN film coating is an effective method to reduce photon
stimulated desorption for the stainless steel material.
