Abstract: The production mechanism of ring-like events has been investigated by using the data of pseudorapidity distribution of charged particles produced in pp collisions at 400GeV/c. The results show that the model of coherent gluon emission within a finite region of space-time is a possible production mechanism of ring-like events, but certainly not dominant.
