Abstract: A simple method for positioning cosmic rays is reported, using plastic scintillator bars with wavelength shifting fiber and photoelectron multiplier readout. The accuracy of positioning is 1cm. More than 4000 CsI(Tl) modules from BESⅢ calorimeter have been tested for light output and uniformity.
